The Heart of CSM

CSM Ministries was birthed from a simple “Yes, Lord,” spoken in obedience to His Word.

Scripture says in Mark 16:15-18: “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’”

In 2000, while sitting on his bathroom floor in prayer—knowing God was calling him to His work—Chris McDonald simply said, “Yes, Lord.” He didn’t know the full extent of what that “yes” would mean, but he meant it wholeheartedly. Over the past 25 years, that simple “yes” has carried him through many seasons: from going on mission trips with his pastor and serving in mass crusades, to becoming a pastor himself, and now traveling across the U.S. and to other nations—preaching the Gospel in crusades and training pastors and leaders.

Sue recognized from the beginning that Chris was called to ministry, and she’s stood with him from day one. But she also knew it wasn’t just Chris who was called—she was too. Today, she co-pastors alongside her husband at Life in Christ Church. When not serving there, she travels and ministers in churches and at women’s conferences across the country. She is also actively involved in jail ministry in their hometown. Chris and Sue believe that just as they were once trained and equipped to be sent out, it is now their time to train and equip others to go out and fulfill Mark 16:15–18.
